I'm now completely convinced that Obama is in office illegally. An army major has filed suit claiming his deployment to Afghanistan is illegal because Obama has not proven that he is a natural born citizen of the United States, as the U.S. Constitution requires. And guess what? The army major's orders were rescinded! Obama won't even fight this in court! Do you realize what this means? It means we have no valid commander-in-chief, and the military knows it! Read the whole story here:
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=90574
and more here: http://www.military.com/news/article/anti-obama-gis-afghan-orders-revoked.html
Please take the time to read both articles and then call your representatives. We need to boot this pretender out of office, or our military will mutiny! And they'll be right!

Crap, I hate it when I'm right..
I have something rather serious to get off my chest, and I hope you'll indulge me. On September 10, 2001, I was in Riverton Wyoming at an arson investigation class. This class was being taught at the Wyoming Fire Academy by FEMA employees, contracted through the National Fire Academy in Emmettsberg, Maryland. The class that day dealt with investigating fires in modern high rise buildings. It began with a chronological history showing major fire events in buildings of this type and winding up with the observation that 'no high rise building had ever suffered a collapse due to fire'.
The next morning, we watched in horror as two passenger jets crashed into the WTC towers. One member of the class asked the instructors if they thought the towers were in danger of collapse. One responded: 'No, those towers are designed to take multiple hits by aircraft, while being subjected to hurricane force winds.' Not long after he said this, the first tower collapsed, at free-fall speed, into it's own foot-print. And then the second followed. We looked at him in stunned silence. He clicked the TV off, blushing furiously the whole time, cleared his throat and began the days class. He would not answer questions about what we had all witnessed the rest of the week. The subject was officially off-limits as far as he was concerned.
My classmates and I, other fire officers from around Wyoming, did talk about it, and we all knew in our guts what we had witnessed. We saw the planned, orderly, demolition of those towers on live TV. We naively thought that the subsequent investigation would reveal this, but it didn't. Instead, there has been a cover-up. And I'm not the only one saying this now. I am posting the link to a you-tube video. A respected architect, Richard Gage, is explaining in this video what brought the twin towers down. It is 7 and a half minutes that will change your mind, and break your heart, when you consider the implications for our country. Please watch it. We can't afford to just blow this off. The truth, no matter how harsh, is still the truth. Pass this on to everyone you know.

Sotomayor misses the point.
You gotta love this. Judge Sotomayor, a Latina woman who has lived a 'compelling narrative' of a life, thinks her sex and race somehow makes her more qualified to be a Supreme Court justice. Never mind that her path to judicial stardom was paved by affirmative action and ivy league scholarships no white man could have obtained in this land of reverse discrimination and 'I have a dream' social engineering. We're supposed to think she is disadvantaged, poor thing. In truth she had advantages that were never available to me. If they had been available to me, I might be a federal judge and she might be building burritos back in the barrio. But look, I'm not complaining; I like my life. I just find it amusing that an attitude which would get me branded a racist and a misogynist, is being excused because the person saying it happens to be a Puerto Rican woman. Baloney. She thinks she's superior in wisdom to white men, just because she's a Latina woman. If I said I was superior in wisdom to Latina women just because I'm a white man, I would be branded a card-carrying member of the KKK. So, where's the outrage?
On another level, you know, this is not amusing at all. This controversy reflects still another aspect of our nation's continuous and sustained attack on the truths of Holy Scripture. With a few exceptions (Debra, Esther) the Bible does not encourage feminine involvement in politics. Indeed, St. Paul wrote very bluntly that he does not allow a woman to exercise authority over a man. In addition, a wife is to submit to her husband, another post-modern no-no. In Numbers chapter 30, it is taught that a woman's vows (obligations) may be annulled by her husband, or by her father if she is not married. In my view, this is exactly what male headship in the home entails; the buck stops with dad, he has the final word. Furthermore, the prophet Isaiah states that one sign of God's judgement resting upon a nation is: 'Their women and children rule over them.' In other words, feminine rule is a curse, not a blessing. As women fill the elected and appointed offices of our land, are we cursed or are we blessed? Does the Word of God stand forever or not?
The Bible, it turns out, is clearly not a feminist book; despite all the she-males teaching the opposite from pulpits these days. And of course, what is tolerated in the home and the church has spilled over into government. Yet, Paul does not qualify his admonition: "I don't suffer a woman to exercise authority over a man." He just puts a period at the end of the sentence. As a nation, we used to understand and apply this truth. Less then a hundred years ago, President Grover Cleveland said: "Sensible and responsible women do not want to vote. The relative positions to be assumed by man and woman in the working out of our civilization have been assigned long ago by a higher intelligence then ours." Can you imagine any man, in office or not, holding such a view today? Of course not. And yet, this was the dominant view of all christian nations for the first 1900 years of church history. Are we wiser then our ancestors? It cannot be. The wisdom of men is foolishness to God. And we are entirely enthralled by the wisdom of men; or worse yet, the wisdom of women.

Healthy Health Care
Not long ago, an older family member wanted some relief from his chronic back pain. Office visits, x-rays, MRI's ensued, costing thousands of dollars. Because of his advanced age and other considerations he is not a candidate for surgery, thank the Lord, and so he will be spared still more thousands in medical bills. Pain pills? He won't have it, he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in a dopey fog, and I don't blame him. Pain shots? These were attempted, and brought blessed relief for exactly 48 hours. The pain specialist thought he could look forward to weeks of pain free living, but that was not to be. Suddenly everyone was out of options. Modern medicine had apparently fired blanks; sorry pal we can't help you, here's your bill.
His daughter told this family member about inversion therapy. It's simply a chair suspended in a frame which he belts himself into. This chair rotates him into a painless upside down position for a few minutes every day. Good ole dependable (and free!) gravity lengthens his spine, taking pressure off of nerves, allowing compressed discs an opportunity to rebuild and re-inflate. For a couple hundred bucks, he can now move about with much less pain, and he has resumed the healthy, active lifestyle so vital to staying out of nursing homes. Of course, he didn't learn about this option from his GP, the health insurance people, the pain specialist, the pharmacist, or anyone else with umpteen letters behind his name; he learned about it from his daughter, who's into drug and surgery-free health maintenance. In other words, she's into a healthy diet and exercise.
It would probably be better for all of us, and much easier on our pocket books too, if M.D.'s would simply take a page from your local veterinarian's play-book. Vets need to keep costs down and still provide good care, because people don't want to break their banks caring for their pet's health. Therefore, vets major in preventative measures. They prescribe, first of all, lots of food supplements; vitamins and minerals primarily. They vaccinate against common infectious diseases. They aggressively treat parasites, something often overlooked by M.D.'s when treating humans. With veterinarians, surgery, radiation, medication are all a last resort, and often not used at all because of the high cost. Now, I don't advocate euthanasia at all, something that is often done with pets; and I'm not saying we shouldn't ease pain whenever we can. But there is something drastically wrong with a system that relies on the most radical and expensive treatments first, and neglects the fundamentals of moderate, age appropriate exercise and healthy diet. Prevention is the foundational key to a sound and inexpensive health care system. If we don't stress that, we will end up where we are now. We will basically be reduced to treating symptoms of advanced diseases with drugs and surgery. This is analogous to closing the barn door after the horse gets out. But do you know how many credit hours in nutrition a physician is required to have? Three. Think about it.

Solon or Moses? A Comparison.
Let us now turn to the Ten Commandments of Solon (Diogenes Laertius, Lives of Eminent Philosophers, 1.60), which run as follows:
1. Trust good character more than promises.
2. Do not speak falsely.
3. Do good things.
4. Do not be hasty in making friends, but do not abandon them once made.
5. Learn to obey before you command.
6. When giving advice, do not recommend what is most pleasing, but what is most useful.
7. Make reason your supreme commander.
8. Do not associate with people who do bad things.
9. Honor the gods.
10. Have regard for your parents.
At first glance, it's not a bad list. Who can argue with such insipid non-specifics as 'Do good things' and 'Do not associate with people who do bad things'? Christians are also in favor of 'good character' and are not in favor of speaking falsely. But what is good character? What is good? What is bad? Solon never tells us, though he does give important clues. Have you noticed, for example, where Solon the pagan philosopher places his admonition to honor God? Way down the list at #9. And then, he pluralizes the word, indicating there are more gods then one, and we should try to 'honor' all of them. So if your pagan god demands you sacrifice your children and my pagan god forbids it, how exactly do we honor both, and remain neighbors? At some point, either you or I will have to change our religion, or things are going to get ugly between us. Thus we have the fallacy of pluralism, which never has worked very well. The more things have changed, the more they stay the same. We may not have idol-worshipping pagans anymore, but we do have the neo-pagan 'can't we all just get along' crowd. They are the cult of that most secular of patron saints, Rodney King, and they deserve a similar beating, if for no other reason then their inability to choose sides. 'Why halt ye between two opinions? Choose ye this day whom ye will serve.'
The real Ten Commandments, you know, the ones God Himself wrote on stone tablets, start out with a statement of identity and ownership. 'I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the bonds of slavery...' This isn't some impotent nature god speaking. This isn't some big blond dude with a hammer. This ain't Mount Olympus, I'm coming to you live from Mount Sinai. Listen up, I am the Lord, and you will have no other gods before me. Got that? The trouble with pagans, then and now, is they tend to use God-given breath to curse God or deny His existence. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh. Pardon me while I giggle along with Him.
Also waaaay down the list: 'Have regard for your parents'. In contrast Moses states: 'Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you'. Is 'having regard' the same as 'honor' with a capital 'H'? I kinda doubt it. And did you notice the reward attached to Mose's 5th commandment (not 10th but 5th, mind you)? Honoring parents, God promises, will result in cultural stability, long life, prosperity, in short, every good material blessing. Solon wants us to 'have regard' for our parents, almost as an after-thought. Oh yeah, let's see... here's #10, have regard for your parents. Yeah right, just until they're shuffled off to a nursing home or planted in the ground, that is. Pagans all over the world just can't wait to strand grandpa in a cave or on an ice floe when he can no longer hunt, and then call it 'having regard'. Where is the 'democracy of the dead' that G.K. Chesterton spoke of in this anemic 'command' of Solon's? There is none. And consequently, there is no multi-generational respect for wholesome tradition and cultural continuity either.
And finally we get to Solon's real god. '#7 Make reason your supreme commander.' In every age, human reason is mankind's default religion. Just as the serpent tempted Eve with 'you shall be as God, knowing good and evil', so we are tempted to enthrone our own rational thoughts above the revealed Will of God. The false god of Reason was the main impetus behind the Enlightenment and ultimately the Enlightenment's most pure political expression, the French Revolution of 1789-1803. For 14 years France was wracked with instability, famine and violence, even as cries of 'Liberty, Fraternity, Equality' were quite selectively applied. There was liberty for those who supported the revolution. There was brotherhood among commoners which did not extend to the nation's Priests, Bishops or Nobles. There was equality in the sense that the guillotine is no respecter of persons. With every common citizen's 'supreme commander' at the helm, and the best and brightest of France systematically rounded up and executed, the tyranny of the uninformed, inexperienced and uneducated 51% could only lead France into chaos. The end result: By 1803, these same mis-guided Utopians begged Napoleon to take over the 'republic' and lead them. After 14 years of government by human reason, the french people were willing to give Napoleon all the power they had taken from the Church and the Monarchy, and more. This is where 'human reason' leads us, if it is not guided by Truth. First into lawlessness, then anarchy, then tyranny.
And what does reason most often recommend? Why, whatever works, of course. Thus we have Solon's 6th Commandment, 'do not recommend what is most pleasing, but most useful'. But useful according to what standard? How do we assess usefulness? Is it according to the law, the majority, the President, mom and dad, what? Who decides and by what standard? We can only conclude that he is recommending pure situational pragmatism, such as the wet finger in the wind variety. We are once again left with no objective standard by which to measure right and wrong. Solon tells us to not speak falsely and don't hang out with bad people; that's the extent of his morality. In contrast, Moses identifies theft, adultery, murder, dishonoring parents, blasphemy, idolatry, all forms of greed AND lying as immoral. These are immovable standards of right and wrong that apply to all people everywhere. Furthermore, Moses gave to Israel over 600 case laws which illustrate the proper application of each of the ten commandments. Solon wants us to follow our own reason. Moses insists that we follow God and submit to His Law. Solon wants us to do good things without telling us what 'good' is. Moses defines that which is evil, thereby opening up a vast freedom to know and do good. What is good? According to Moses, good is the avoidance of all that is evil. Evil is defined by 'Thou shalt not' but it is not avoided at all by 'make reason your supreme commander' and 'do that which is useful', for evil often seems unavoidable, and very useful indeed.
With human reason we unavoidably get the end justifying the means, lawlessness expressed as pragmatism and situational ethics. With God's law we get an unchangeable moral standard to inform and guide our lives in what is good, right and true. Pagan philosophers want us to be good. God tells us what good is.

Proud to be a right-wing extremist
These are strange times. In a world up to it's neck in Marxist ideology and Islamic all-or-nothing, kill all Christians and Jews extremism, the Department of Homeland Security apparently has nothing better to do then demonize our own people. You can check out the full story here: http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin505.htm
A quote: The DHS report warns law enforcement to be on guard against anyone who opposes illegal immigration, same-sex marriage, "free trade agreements," gun control, the "New World Order," "One World Government," the outsourcing of American jobs, the "perceived" threat to U.S. sovereignty by foreign powers, abortion, "declarations of martial law," "the creation of citizen detention camps," "suspension of the U.S. Constitution," or the abridgement of State authority. Also branded are people who believe in "end times" prophecies, and who "stockpile" food, ammunition, or firearms.
I couldn't help sweating a little bit as I read this. Wait a minute; I think they're talking about... me. The only part of that list that doesn't fit me is the 'people who believe in 'end times' prophecies' part. Everything else may as well have a picture of me, decked out in full huntin' regalia and holding ole reliable, my 30-06, while brandishing for the camera my personal copy of the U.S. Constitution. I guess I better burn that picture post haste.
But this only goes to show, beyond any doubt whatsoever, the ideological make-up of our government. In WWII, we sided with Stalin against Hitler, and we've been left-wing ideologues ever since. Not that Hitler wasn't a bad guy, he certainly was, but he was small potatoes compared to Stalin and Mao. Even if you buy the full 6 million body count attributed to Hitler (which I don't), Stalin was responsible for 40 million dead and Mao in China killed twice that number. Hitler killed his millions, but Stalin his 10's of millions; to paraphrase the Bible's comparison between David and Saul. But who do we side with? Stalin. And who do we consider an extremist today? Not Marxists. Not communists. Not 'democratic socialists'. Not 'religion of peace' adherents. All of these folks are just misunderstood, despite their killing fields, gulags and slave labor camps. And so it is that the Department of Homeland Security continues the grand tradition of straining at gnats while swallowing camels.
Here are 45 goals of communism, as compiled in Cleon Skousen's book, The Naked Communist. As you read the list, consider how many are already realized or well on the way to being realized.
Skousen's book was written in 1961.
CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
The old USSR may be dead, but communism, Marxism and socialism are alive and prospering right here in the U.S.A. 'Right-wing extremists', historically, don't make good socialist slaves. And that's why our own government hates and fears us, because they are left-wing extremists.

Equality 101
In an undisclosed university, an economics professor who shall remain anonymous, conducted the following experiment with his class. It seems his students were concerned about 'fairness'. They wanted to be sure that everyone in the class was treated exactly the same. So, the following experiment was conducted:
The Professor declared that everyone was going to get the same exact grade. He wanted to test the main communist maxim: 'From everyone according to ability, to everyone according to need.' After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a solid 'B'. So far so good; some were disappointed because they had earned an 'A', but for the most part, everyone was happy. The second test averaged out to a 'C' for everyone, and now the fun starts. The good students were now in open rebellion against the slackers who deserved much less then an average grade. The finger-pointing accusations began, but to no avail. The good students threw up their hands and abandoned their work ethic and the bad students - well, they remained bad students. The end result was the whole class got an 'F' and had to repeat the course.
We see the very same dynamic worked out in real life everyday. In New York City, black and white firefighters competed for promotion. The white firefighters ended up on top of the list, black firefighters on the bottom. This, of course, is not fair. Black firefighters take the city to court. The court throws out the test results. Envy has won the day; if the city can't legitimately promote blacks, then no one will be promoted. The case is currently before the Supreme Court, and despite the alleged 'conservative' make-up of the court, I don't expect a different result. In this country 'fairness' is the opposite of personal merit. It doesn't matter how talented or how deserving you are; it only matters if you are a member of some 'oppressed' group. Thus, in college entrance exams, Asians and white men are frequently asked to step aside for 'poor' blacks, Hispanics and women. Asians and white men taken as a group are smarter then the aforementioned minorities (also taken as a group) and we just can't have that. It's not fair.
I've concluded that our popular brand of 'fairness' isn't fair. It is not just or right to deny to someone the legitimate fruits of their labor and ability. Conversely, it's just not right or just to give to someone something they haven't earned, unless that gift is voluntary. That something has to come from somewhere, and be produced by someone. It can only come from someone who has indeed earned it or produced it. But now something peculiar happens. Here in the 'land of the free', our own government which produces nothing but hot air and blizzards of paper, takes from those who do, those who earn, those who have, often without their consent, and gives it to those who do nothing, those who whine, and those who think they are entitled by virtue of their membership in a group. This is called 'fairness'. Of course it is not fair, it is instead institutionalized envy. Let this soak into your bones. Envy is a sin. Our whole system is rife with it. God is not mocked forever. Judgement, therefore, is coming. Anytime you or I ask our elected representatives to steal from our neighbors and give it to us, we are thieves. The government is simply our hired gun doing the deed under the cover of 'law'.
My position is simple: 'Thou shalt not steal' and 'Thou shalt not covet'. The commandments of God are not qualified by 'unless by majority vote, or an act legislated by men'. We have no authority to overturn or make of no effect the commandments of God. We need to be consistent and disciplined in reminding our governments of this, and keeping our collective hands out of our neighbor's wallet.
